Course Description

This course is designed to provide an extensive background in the history, policies, laws and regulations pertaining to the Marine Safety and Environmental Protection missions. It is the Auxiliary equivalent of the 12-week Coast Guard Marine Science Technician A-School. The course is available on this website by clicking on the link above. The exam is available on the National Testing Center.   This course counts as 2 points toward the AUXOP device and is a requirement for the Marine Safety Ribbon.
