QUAL - Radio Watchstander (4 credits)

Course Description

Tasked with monitoring the radio for signs of distress, maintaining communication with units, and assisting with planning operations, students who become radio watchstanders are primed to assist active duty boat stations.

Pass Criteria: Students must complete the local PQS and pass the required oral board as prescribed by the boat station.

Course Webpage: N/A - students should work with local or national AUP leadership to facilitate engagement with a small boat station or a cutter for this qualification.
